Question: I know TV Smith wrote this one, but who recorded (and released) first - TV or Lords Of The New Church? The LOTNC version was ‘85, but I have no idea when this one here was released.

One of the greatest songs, and one of the most, if not the most overlooked albums of all-time! I love this entire record. Brilliantly clever lyrical examinations of western civilization, catchy hooks, but raw production.

Nicolai's music actually gives the spanish print of this film a depth and drive it perhaps lacks inherently. The film in the saucy french version has needlessly protracted skin sessions that detract from the films tragic tone, and dare i say, mar the score itself.
